The position at the University of Hohenheim will be embedded within the Institute of Biology and the Hohenheim Center for Livestock Microbiome Research (HoLMiR) and will be associated with the University wide research focus on “Mechanisms and cascades for improved agrobiological nitrogen transfer to protein production”.
Unsere Erwartungen - Deine Fähigkeiten
We aim at
- recruiting an early career Post-Doc wishing to establish an independent research group to follow an academic career.
- Candidates should be highly motivated to work in an international team and are expected to contribute a research focus in any modern topic of microbiology with relation to nitrogen metabolism and nitrogen transformation,
- for example by studying symbiotic systems in the gut of (farm) animals, general mechanisms of metabolic priorization, or regulatory networks.
- Experience in interdisciplinary work with plant and animal biologists is desirable.
- Proficiency in English and good communication skills are essential, as is a
- completed doctoral degree and
- the proven ability to carry out research independently.
- German language skills are a plus.
