Project Description ESR3:
Many factors appear to govern the allergic response to food proteins including their intrinsic biochemical/immunological properties such as allergenic determinants (IgE epitopes). The objectives of ESR 3 add to the scientific understanding of the contribution of linear versus conformational determinants, as well as impact of affinity, on the functional allergenic potency of homologous weak/strong allergenic legume proteins at the side of elicitation.

Qualifications:We are looking for a candidate who meets the following requirements:
- Master degree or state examination or equivalent (graduation before project start date) in a life sciences subject (biological or biochemical sciences, immunology or similar);
- Preferably experience with basic cell culturing, molecular biology, biochemistry and immunochemistry techniques; protein liquid chromatography;
- you work with human and animal serum samples;
- Good level of spoken and written English language skills;
- Independent and creative team player, willing to assist colleagues in their research;
- you are critical, eager to learn and curious and you have good communication skills

Terms of Employment: The successful candidate will receive- a 36-month, full-time employment contract as per Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) regulations for early stage researchers (ESR).
- The goal is a promotion (PhD).
- The monthly salary will be confirmed upon offer, paid in the currency of the host country, and with a correction factor applied to the host country. Check the website for more information about working at the PEI (www.pei.de).
