Mushlabs is a biotech startup using cellular agriculture to create the next generation of sustainable foods from the roots of mushrooms. We grow fungal mycelium to create nutritious and delicious raw ingredients that form the basis of nutritious and sustainable meat substitute products. Our mission is to create a circular food system that provides accessible nutrition for the growing population while preserving our planet.
YOUR MISSION
- Expand Mushlabs’ market access globally by taking charge of the regulatory food processes in our target markets, incl. EU, North America and Asia Pacific
- Coordination, preparation, writing and submission of (novel) food regulatory dossiers, according to existing guidelines/regulations and company strategy
- Coordination and management of project teams with internal and external staff and global partners incl. reporting and oversight activities and responsibilities
- Development of internal regulatory policies and procedures
- Making sure that the company remains up-to-date with respects to regulations and/or take advantage of new regulations
- Close cooperation with our Quality Management Team to maintain and further develop the quality management system
- Communicate with relevant competent authorities regarding regulatory dossiers

YOUR PROFILE
- Master Degree in a scientific field, such as Life Sciences, Food sciences, Food Technology, Biology, Biotechnology
- 3+ years of experience in the regulatory environment, within a comparable industry
- Very good knowledge and quick comprehension of food regulations in the EU and other regions (Asia or US).
- First experience in brining a (food) product to market as well as applying for regulatory approvals in EU, US or any tiger region
- Ability to manage and work on multiple projects under tight deadlines, and prioritize actions based on clear and pragmatic criteria
- Autonomous way of working with a hands on mentality
- Curious, proactive, strong team player, problem-solving oriented, attention to details, result driven
- Ability to understand technical data (like nutritional composition and microbiology)
- Proven track record of interacting with senior stakeholders, incl. report results to the management team
- An ambitious multi-tasker and problem solver with strong project management skills
- Integrity, self-motivation, and a keen drive to improve the food system
- Strong technical writing skills and outstanding communication.
- English required - German is a plus
